Halloween in Barcelona 2013 was great!!!

Halloween is one of the oldest and the most popular celebrations observed by people all over the world. However, the customs and traditions of celebrating the festivals differ from place to place. Every country has its own unique pattern of observing the festival. 

Spanish-speaking countries, especially Mexico, Latin America and Spain (Barcelona is in Spain.) celebrate "El Dia los Muertos," the days of the dead, a celebration of life from beginning to end. A three-day celebration that begins in the evening of October 31 and ends on November 2, it is a time for family to remember and honor the dead, who are believed to return to their homes on Halloween.

Yesterday on Thursday the 31st of October was the BIGGEST Halloween Zombie Walk in the history of Barcelona. All volunteers dressed up like a zombie and came and joined for the ERASMUS PARTY of the YEAR!

Everything started at 8 pm near the metro station Arc De Triumph and at 8:30 pm zombie took over the metro. The first station was the metro station Arc De Triumph, second meeting point was metro station Espanya. Then Passeig de Grácia and the last one is Villa Olimpica. 

Later on after long and terrifying walk every zombie had a FREE Halloween Party at a Secret Location. As far as we knew the secret place was a Kennedy bar. Everybody meet their friends THERE and had fun together)

The monsters were really scary. Wherever you looked everywhere were faces with scars, bloody eyes. Monsters had pale, green skin and rotting flesh, blank eyes and wide open mouths, torn clothes, missing pieces of skin and limbs. So, at first you could have a shock!!! But than there in nothing to worry about because you are going to be one of them soon.....

It was incredible event where you could feel like in the film ¨ Dawn of the Dead ¨. On the other hand you could feel like you are in Hollywood and making some scary movie with huge amount of zombies!

I felt satisfied and exited! 

Oh this poor people in the metro! If I were them I would run away! But we are good zombie so we just smiled and did not eat anybody)
