What to do in Barcelona? 5 things to do in Barcelona

What to do in Barcelona? 5 things to do in Barcelona

Are you in Barcelona?

So, it is a perfect time for you to open it in a new way. It does not matter how much time do you have in Barcelona. This city has a lot of activities that will make you crazy about this city and for sure YOU will come back here one more time. So, do not waste your to time, and start explore Barcelona! As you know now, Barcelona is a sun-drenched city, which you have to see anyway.

The first place is Placa Reial: a perfect place to listen to music, to see music, palm trees, to eat in luxurious restaurants and have good times. This beautiful place is located just near Las Ramblas. If you want to find a beautiful place for tasting traditional Spanish and Catalan restaurants in Barcelona this place is right for you! If you are a real fan of nightlife, be sure you will find a plenty of interesting clubs here too. It is a real good place to find live bands and indie rock music or head over to Jambore for pumping hip-hop and dance classics, you can also catch some live Flamenco performances. It should be mentioned that Flamenco is not a national Catalan tradition. This kind of tradition came from the South of Spain. One more important thing is that catalans expect you know that.

The second one are El Born & El Gotico: these streets are really famous. They are the most beautiful and oldest streets in Barcelona. It does not matter how much time you are in Barcelona, every time you go there you will find out something new, interesting and fascinating. If you want to feel the atmosphere of Barcelona, you shuold go there anyway. It is the one thing must done in Barcelona, This district is a perfect place to find your part of Barcelona and enjoy it 100%. Probably, you will find El Born & El Gotico dirty, smelly and sometimes dangerous, but nothing can compare to these rustic streets. You can't claim that you know Barcelona, until you were in El Born & El Gotico and enjoy these marvellous ancient streets.

The third one is Barcelona’s beaches: You can't find a better place where to relax in the summer, if not on the Barcelona's beahes!!! Is a magnificient place to kick back and grab a drink. In fact, Barcelona is one of the best beach's cities in Europe. And you know what, it is truth. Once you were in Barcelona's beaches you will come back for sure, to enjoy it one more time, to take a sunbath, to have a great time with your friends. In fact it is always overcrowded because of local people and huge quantity of tourists. You will be really lucky to find a place where to relax, but is worth of it. Here you will find people from all over the whole world. Especially near Chiringuitos, well-known beach-bar, where visitors will sip on expensive Mojitos (5-10 Euros). Young people their toned bodies and smoke strong cigarettes. Be aware of your things. As well as these kinds of places attract a lot of the city’s best pick-pockets. If you want some exotic you should go to the nudist beach, Marbella.

The next one is rooftop terrace: Barcelona is reach in of rooftop terraces, but there is one the problem: anybody does not know where to find them. Barcelona's rooftop terraces should be at the top of Barcelona’s exclusive hotels and they like to keep it that way – exclusive and elusive. Useful recommendation is to head to Hotel 1898 toward the top end of La Rambla (it’s on the right, above Starbucks). Jump in the lift next to reception and go up to floor 7. You will come out directly on the rooftop terrace, next to the bar. Order a drink, or ask where you can sit, and they will provide you with a menu.

Escape to Sitges (Only 20 minutes from Barcelona): Barcelona has it all, but if you feel the need to get away from the city and go where the locals go for a holiday, then cute but classy Sitges is a must. Jump on the metro and head to Sants Estacio, then get the Renfe train to Sitges. You can use your T10 metro card (although technically you shouldn’t) and you’ll be in Sitges in 20 minutes. Even though it’s so close to the city, it has a completely different vibe. It’s clean and chic and you’ll totally understand why this is where the rich and famous Spaniards have their holiday homes. The broad board-walks are lined with tall palm trees and rows and rows of classic cafes and restaurants. The bars are surprisingly cheap considering the wealth this town attracts, but you may as well grab a couple of cold ones from a corner shop and hit the beach – the views are even better! You may also notice that Sitges is somewhat of a gay haven and the town is full of flamboyant gay bars and clubs. The town frequently erupts into extravagant festivals and the legendary Sitges Carnival is something I will never tire of. Sitges is simply amazing and has to be seen to be believed.
